Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of online businesses that bring in multi-6 figure months and years?
Today I’m going to share with you some of the mindset approaches and habits behind some of my highest-earning clients:
1. They focus on needle-moving activity rather than “busy-work”
They think about and are laser-focused on where their precious time and energy are invested each day and focus on activities that drive their businesses forward.
This means dedicating their attention to high-impact tasks that directly contribute to their goals and will move their business forward and less time ticking off to-do’s that are easier, snackable bits that feel good to tick off but don’t actually have a big impact on their business.
2. They invest in long-term support
They understand the power of investing in themselves and their businesses over the long-term. Most of my highest-earning clients have been working with me for the longest and don’t coach-hop or look for the next quick fix for their business.
3. They create their own opportunities
They don’t wait for opportunities to come knocking; they create them. They proactively seek out collaborations, partnerships, and strategies to help them reach their goals.
4. They show up for the difficult conversations
I always say that running your own business is a lot like holding a mirror up at yourself. You’re going to see all of your stuff and it’s not always going to be fun. My most successful clients are the ones who are willing to dive into the difficult questions and work through them, and this could look like a conversation with themselves, their coach, their team or their clients.
5. They ask for support
There is this pre-conception that when you are running a successful business, perhaps you don’t need to ask as many questions or you don’t need the support as much. But what I have found is that my highest-earning clients show up for themselves and ask the questions when they need the support.
And that isn’t to say they don’t have periods of not having as many questions in Slack, of course these times happen with the ebbs and flows of life. But they know that support is there and plug into it when they need support – no matter how big or small the question.
6. They treat their visibility and marketing as a priority
The secret to scaling your business isn’t just by improving efficiencies within your business, but also by increasing your visibility so you can increase the number of people you can potentially serve. This is what good marketing will help you do. My highest-earning clients treat their marketing as a priority alongside delivering amazing services to their clients.
