If a client ever comes to me telling me they’re experiencing a sales slump, the first thing I do is ask them about their marketing funnel and their numbers.
Usually (but not all the time) there’s a leak in their funnel that we need to assess.
So though I can’t coach each and every one of you personally, I wanted to give you a few dot points that you can run your sale through to see where you may be experiencing a “funnel leak” so you can move forward accordingly.
1. You’ve stopped reaching new people:
In order to scale, you need to grow your audience and increase your visibility. So if you’re not consistently reaching new people and instead, continually selling to the same people. You may find you have a visibility problem and you need to be creating content that helps you reach more ideal clients and bring them into your world.
2. You’re not anticipating your prospects’ objections:
The selling process begins before you have even been in contact with your lead. Ideally, you want to be anticipating what your potential client’s objections are making them feel safe in their decision to enquire or to buy from you.
If your offer isn’t selling, it could be due to unresolved concerns your prospects have, such as cost or time constraints. Take the time to identify potential objections and develop strategies to overcome them, reassuring your potential clients and building their trust.
3. Your messaging is unclear:
Your prospect needs to know within 30 seconds of learning about you, exactly what you do and how you can help them.
Take a step back and evaluate whether you’re effectively showcasing the value and benefits your products or services bring to the table. By speaking directly to your customers’ pain points, and how you’re THE PERSON to help them, you can create a compelling case for why they should choose you.
If you’ve felt like any of these points have resonated, and you’re unsure of how to go about resolving them, this is why I created:
